Children’s Entertainment FAQ

What happens once I have booked?

Funtime Clowns will send out a confirmation, confirming all details given. We ask that you double check all documents as Funtime Clowns are not responsible for incorrect information given.

The character for your function will contact you the Thursday prior to your function to confirm all details, we ask that if you have not heard from the entertainer by 10am the Friday prior to your function to contact Funtime Clowns office ASAP

Do we require a deposit when booking?

A $50.00 deposit is required within 3 business days of booking with Funtime Clowns.  Our payment methods are Visa, MasterCard, Paypal, Net banking & in person at any Commonwealth bank branch.

What happens if I decide to cancel?

A $50.00 cancellation fee will apply if customer does decide to cancel after 3 business days of booking with Funtime Clowns.  If cancelling 72 hours prior to function full payment will be charged (this excludes castle cancellation due to wet weather).

Does the character bring a table & chair for Face Painting?

Yes the Character will bring a table and 2 chairs for face painting and also a stereo with mixed children's music, and everything required for games, races and prizes.

What age group does the character entertain?

We advise that the character entertains children from 3-10 years of age. If the children are young we ask that the parent advise us of this, and we can cater games for their age group.

We strictly do not entertain adults and advise that no adults are to harass Funtime Clowns Entertainers as they are strictly to entertain the children. We also advise that it must be an alcohol free zone for the safety of the Children & Entertainer.

What happens if it rains?

Rain, Hail or Shine our character will be there. If any changes are made, please contact us with any additional information.

What’s the latest time the entertainer can work until?

Entertainers are strictly not to perform later than 9.00pm and if are hired in the evening we ask that parking is provided near function.

Do we need to provide parking for the entertainer?

Parking needs to be provided for the entertainer as this will reduce the entertainers chances being late trying to find parking, and if paid parking is the only option for where the function is held then the customer is to provide.

What happens at the party?

Funtime Clowns entertainers start with face painting / tattoo's followed by games and races, pass the parcel & Magic Show (if Magic show is booked), followed by balloon sculpturing followed by the cutting of the cake (Funtime Clowns entertainers will always leave balloons till the end).

Entertainer does not stop to take a break when the children are fed as during this time the entertainer will face paint, also the 2 hours starts from time booked, if the entertainer is asked to wait this will come out of the 2 hours hired and the entertainer will not be able to perform all duties, we ask that you book the correct time as in most cases the entertainer has another function to go to.

What types of games are played?

This is based on the age group. For toddler parties, we will play nursery games and dancing. Children from 3-10 we play games such as what’s the time Mr Wolf, Musical Mats (based on musical chairs), Duck Duck Goose, Egg & Spoon Races, Bean Bag races and many more.

The number of games that are played, if under 20 children is 8-10 games / races (pass the parcel is included) more than 20 children and the number of games/races will be shortened.

How many children can the character entertain?

We advise that for a smoothly run party, that 1 character per 20 children max. If you do have less then 25 children and decide to stick to one character the games & races will be shortened or minimised & small face painting designs will be done.

If there is more than 26 children then you we will need to book 2 entertainers as 1 entertainer will not be able to perform all duties.

What is in the pass the parcel?

We put mixed small novelty toys. E.g. necklace, yoyo, parachute man, stickers, etc.

Does the birthday child receive a present?

Yes the birthday will receive a Colouring Book.

When does final payment need to be made?

Full payment needs to be received by the Tuesday prior to the function.
